The Addison Road Centre (ARC) is Australia's largest community centre. The full name of the Centre tells our story  - the Addison Road Centre for Arts, Culture, Community and Environment. We have more than 200,000 visitors a year, the Centre is a popular place. marketcrowdlittleOriginally barracks for the Army, the Centre has become Australia’s first, largest and longest-surviving community centre. Today the ARC encompasses an extraordinary range of activities in the arts, culture, community and environmental fields.

Since 1976, the ARC has been able to develop a level of economic sustainability sufficient to provide accessible and affordable accommodation to community not-for-profit organisations. In 2003, the ARC entered a 50-year lease with the NSW State Government.

A Board of directors elected from the membership as well as local citizens and one local council representative oversees the management of the Centre.
