The Bower: Reuse & Repair Centre Co-operative
The Bower is a non-profit community cooperative dedicated to the recovery and re-use of household and office waste. We operate a repair centre and re-sale shop from our beautiful straw bale building.
The Bower collects waste direct from donors, diverting it from landfill. Minor repairs and refurbishment to furniture, toys, and bric-a-brac are done in-house. We are also repairing electrical items, from toasters to fridges. All items are sold cheaply from our second-hand store.

Lots of useful information regarding waste patterns are collected by The Bower and in future we hope to lobby for policy changes regarding extended producer responsibility and sustainable design.
