Conservation Volunteers
Australia (CVA) is Australia’s leading
organisation for practical conservation completing
more than 2000 conservation projects across
Australia every year.
Founded in 1982, CVA is not-for-profit and offers conservation programs that
give volunteers the opportunity to protect, conserve and restore
Australia’s unique
environment. CVA places volunteers on projects in urban, regional and remote
locations in bush land environments. Project activities include bush
regeneration, tree planting, seed collection, flora and fauna surveys, heritage
restoration and environmental monitoring.
CVA Sydney office runs
locally based projects as well as away projects. Daily local projects leave from Central
station at 8am (return at
4pm). Away
projects take volunteers out of Sydney for 2, 3,
or 5 days and also leave from Central station. CVA Away projects are an amazing
way to help CVA preserve the Australian environment in parts of the country that
most people never get to experience.
